Roman Bank Nurseries is a family-run business rooted in four generations of experience in the flower and flowerbulb industry.
Our story began in West Norfolk in the 1930s, when our family first began growing flowers commercially. The glasshouses built in the years that followed still stand on our site today, a reminder of the generations of growers who came before us.
Over the years, our family's role in the industry has evolved. From growing flowers for markets such as Covent Garden, to working with specialist flowerbulb growers and suppliers across the world, flowers and flowerbulbs have remained at the heart of what we do.
Today, that experience comes together through Roman Bank Nurseries, with our specialist online store and our local flower and gift shop in Terrington St Clement.
We also work closely with our sister company, Marshland Flowerbulbs Ltd, who supply flowerbulbs and seeds wholesale to commercial growers across the UK, USA and Europe. This close connection gives us access to decades of industry knowledge and strong relationships with leading breeders and growers around the world.

Our Varieties
Our online store brings together a carefully selected range of exceptional flowerbulbs and seeds, sourced through trusted specialist partners. In partnership with Onings Inc USA, we are proud to be the exclusive UK distributor of Biancheri Creazioni Italian Ranunculus, renowned for their beautifully layered blooms and extraordinary range of colours. Our Tulips are supplied by Gebroeders de Jong, while our Lilies come through our long-standing relationship with Onings Flowerbulbs, including our specialist selection of pollen-free varieties.
Alongside these, we offer Anemones, Zinnias, Colibri Poppies and more, carefully chosen for their quality, character and appeal. Our collection continues to evolve throughout the year as we discover new and exceptional varieties to share with growers and gardeners across the UK and Northern Ireland.
Our Shop
While our online store is focused on specialist flower bulbs and seeds, our physical shop has a slightly different character.
Roman Bank Nurseries Shop is our local, village-facing store, offering houseplants, seasonal cut flowers, seeds, greeting cards, gift wrapping and horticultural accessories.
We wanted to create somewhere a little different for the local community — somewhere to find a thoughtful gift, pick up a beautiful bunch of fresh flowers, or simply discover something lovely to take home.
We're particularly passionate about supporting local growers wherever we can, bringing fresh, seasonal flowers to the village that are grown close to home.
